Old Is Gold
"Old is gold."
Whenever I hear this very old aphorism, many things cross my mind and remind me how plausible and authentic this saying is.
The softness of a good old blanket,
The shade of a century-old tree in the village side,
The scent of an old wooden maisonette,
The fine lines and wrinkles of my granny,
The crispness of my late grandpop's shirt that still rests in the cupboard,
The perfume of my mom's aged clothes,
The music from the vintage Gramophone,
The touch typing sound of my dad's rusty typewriter,
A year-old photo album that pops and says relive your memories on the phone,
The countless old school memories,
The moisture of the first kiss,
And so much more…
Oh yeah, all old… But that new and the wow sensations, it gives when every time it crosses the mind!!
Ain't it is refreshingly good to the soul?
How true is the saying, "old is gold!"
It is!
Au revoir'
